Alchemy Heavy Metals (Pvt) Ltd, a fully owned Sri Lankan company, is a Mining and Processing company that owns and operates various mineral mines in Sri Lanka and is currently engaged in processing Ilmenite, Rutile, Zircon, Garnet, Quartz and Mica for the export market.
Being a leading Mineral based company in Sri Lanka we are very keen to produce value-added products from our country's minerals. Further, Alchemy Heavy Metals (Pvt) Ltd is in the process of setting up a Synthetic Rutile Plant in Sri Lanka, a flagship venture with an intention of expanding it to a Titanium Dioxide Plant.
Our philosophy in mineral exploitation practice acknowledges the ground reality that mineral is a non-renewable commodity. Hence it is common sense that when utilizing such a commodity emphasis must be to make the most of it to our nation.
Alchemy Heavy Metals (Pvt) Ltd recognizes that extraction and processing of the earth's mineral resources must be accomplished in a manner that minimizes impacts on the environment and the community. Message from the Group MD
Consequent to pursuance for exports by the Government of Sri Lanka we were encouraged to explore avenues for different trades. Along with a dedicated team of tradesmen and professionals in the industry, we could eventually yield benefits of our toiling in the sphere of providing value-added products of minerals of our land.
Those were far and remote areas of the island that one hardly wanted to strive for ventures. Irrespective of difficulties encountered, we are pleased that we could attain success in the industry carving a niche in the global market.
At present, we work closely and maintain affable business links with our stakeholders and clients. Our workforce is indefatigable in delivering services and I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to them.

We have a highly experienced and knowledgeable team of experts that manages our resources in the most efficient manner. Our experts are divided into various teams like mining engineers, sales & marketing professionals, procuring agents, quality analysts, and administrative departments. This ensures that all aspects of our business are handled proficiently. In order to update the knowledge & skill levels of our workforce, we conduct regular training sessions.
Our mining engineers are highly qualified and experienced master graduates in Geology & Chemistry. They ensure that the raw material being extracted from the mines is of superior quality. Our procuring agents have complete product knowledge, which helps them in effectively locating and dealing with the vendors. This ensures that our overall expenses are minimized and we are able to manufacture exactly as per the client’s requirements. Our marketing & sales team works closely with the clients and ensures that all their needs & requirements are fulfilled. All our other team members are experts in their respective fields and ensure that all our processes are complying with the set parameters.

Social Responsibility
Based on the results of a Socio-economic-Survey, the Company will implement its strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy to fulfill the needs and uplift living standards of the local community, in and around project areas and describe migratory measures to be adopted for issues affecting the environment. The Company has also taken steps to implement benevolent measures leading to establish pre-education centers, community water supply systems, etc.

The company is technically focused with many highly experienced innovative professionals, both local and overseas. Its existing manufacturing technology and processes were all developed within the company and are continually monitored.

It has set up a BOI-approved Heavy Mineral Processing Plant at Dambulla with an considerable investment. The Group has also purchased a stock of 150,000 metric tons (mt) of crude zircon from Lanka Mineral Sands Ltd.
Equipped with adequate resources, AHM is already in possession of a successful marketing strategy. It has positioned itself well internationally to market any mineral sand product at the right price and now will be supported by Technical Partners who are global leaders in the international market of value-added mineral sands products, serving over 3000 customers in over 40 countries.
